    Hi all,
I am a PhD student conducting research on Internet Activity and Attitudes towards Online Interactions. I am trying to get people to complete my online questionnaire in order to validate it. If you could take five minutes to fill it out I would be very grateful. Sorry in advance for any intrusion.

The questionnaire can be accessed at:

    Thanks, Eve Griffin.

    Hi Op

I did the questionairre, however, I disagree with how you word it because it mainly focused on internet dating which irked me because you should have made that clearer and to be honest I don't think your questionairre is comprehensive enough in terms of internet activity and social interaction, unless you are only focusing on online dating, which if you are you should state that on the questionairre, if you are looking at how people interact on sites such as facebook etc, then the questionairre needed to be set under different headings such as online dating, making friends online and offline, etc. I'm sorry if this sounds critical but I think the work you are doing is interesting and needed but the questionairre as it stands is a little misleading. Good luck with it.

    Hi Miec,

Thanks for your feedback. I completely take that on board, and it's good to have this feedback. To answer, and explain I suppose, while I am primarily concerned with attitudes towards 'chatting online' or chat room interactions, the questionnaire seeks opinions from people who do this and also those who don't participate in this behaviour. The wording and explanation tried not to deter or exclude people from completing it, and as many responses from the general population is needed. However I will try to improve the explanation. Secondly, I suppose this a side track from my primary research, and I do think this needs to be done, but I hope to proceed with more than just a questionnaire.

    Thanks again,

    Eve.
