Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Windows media player Using exactly 25 percent of CPU

So the background: I was playing a game recently when the screen started flickering and the game quit to desktop and said that there was a bug found in the EXE for the game engine and then my monitor lost the signal from the graphics card so I was forced to do a 10 second power button shut down, not a lot else I could do.

When I restarted I noticed that my computer was behaving erratically for example, COMODO firewall was using about 75 percent of my cpu's runtime and this is on a 2.4 quad/4 GB RAM etc. so that shouldn't happen but I uninstalled that and reinstalled and it was back to normal. However Windows media player 11 has also become a sudden CPU hog climbing up to and staying at exactly 25 percent when I play a song and slowing down dramatically as a result when before it barely used anything. I've experienced the same problem intemittently with Winamp as well but there it seems to be dependent on what skin I use.

Everything else is running pretty much as normal. I ran a disk check and it only found one error which was fixed but still the same problem. I tried rolling back to WMP 10 but still the same result and the media player entry has dissapeared from the add/remove programs list so I can't roll back to nine, not that it would help if I could. So sorry for the long post, do any of you have any ideas on how I could resolve this issue?

    Thanks,
    B
