I have a 00 Renault Megane Classic with 154k miles on the clock, no NCT and needs a new cat - should I even bother trying to sell it or would I be better off trying for 100 quid from the scrap yard......

Try to sell the car in gumtree.ie, it costs you nothing and you might get something out of it,

I sold my Matiz for 160e and it needed much work than your car OP
