Manual E200cdi, E220cdi and E250cdi are all in Band B for VRT / Tax

    Auto versions are are group C (E250cdi A/T = 154g/km)

new cars suck for value, why not buy one thats a few months old and avoid the vat and basically get new car for 10 grand cheaper,
http://www.carzone.ie/search/Mercedes-Benz/E-Class/E-200-K-/200918192666718/advert?channel=CARS ex demo 500 miles on it,, packed with all de extras, 35000 buys it i say! and would be worth 35000 in 6 months also,,,
i never buy new,, soon as your out the gate value has dropped 7000 grand,

That one will suck for value too. An old model petrol with much higher tax which no one will want in 3 years time compared to current model.
True, new cars suck for value but that car shows that sometimes the new one is not so bad!

    Thats some depreciation.

Why would anyone buy one of those when you can get brand new cheaper.

Just replying with the same tone as the poster. Do you agree?
If you have an issue with what I said then by all means PM me, but don't argue with my direction on-thread. Final warning.

    He is just frustrated.
In fairness to the OP, his posting and how this thread has unfolded is like going to the doctor for advise then having to explain to him how to read a patients temperature.

Just wait for someone else to post "but I want a Merc VAT free too, its unfair"..
My expectations are a lot higher when i'm paying for advice.;) In the meantime let's all discuss the issue in a relatively courteous manner, regardless of frustrations/disagreements etc.
