Thanks for asking the question mad m. My sister also has a 2001 Toyota Yaris and I look after the maintenance on it for her or advise her to take it to the garage for any job I cannot tackle. Also if there is a timing belt to be changed is it just the timing belt that needs changing or a complete kit and water pump such as in many other cars?

It's a chain, only needs changing if it gets noisey.
