WWE is holding a pre-sale for their 10/15 Raw taping in Nashville, TN at the Bridgestone Arena starting tomorrow at 10 AM using pre-sale code MARK. Yes, that's what it is.

Locally advertised for the taping is John Cena vs. CM Punk, which is apparently going to be headlining the next few months of Raw brand shows.

WWE.com has learned that Rey Mysterio suffered a concussion at the hands of The Miz this past Sunday at SummerSlam. (RESULTS)

According to one backstage source, WWE personnel “suspected [a concussion] because he hit his head.” The following day, precautionary impact testing was conducted and “showed that [Mysterio] is below baseline, which means he sustained some sort of concussion,” the source explained.

WWE.com has confirmed that the San Diego native is not medically cleared to compete at this time. Mysterio did not appear on last Monday’s Raw, and has been removed from all events at least through this coming weekend. (MYSTERIO'S SUPERSTAR PROFILE)

During The Awesome One’s successful Intercontinental Title defense at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles last Sunday, the champion executed a brutal sit-down powerbomb. The maneuver snapped Mysterio’s head against the canvas, which likely caused the trauma and no doubt paved the way for The Miz’s victory. The self-proclaimed “Most Must-See Champion in WWE History” has had his awesomeness questioned in recent months, but The Miz reasserted himself with this dominance over the 619 specialist.

According to WWE physician Michael Sampson, Mysterio “had the first [test] on Monday, which showed us that he was below baseline. The physical exam was normal, but neuropsych testing was below normal. That’s the beauty of neuropsych testing,” he explained. “Based on reaction time and memory, we can measure on a computer, and he was below his baseline. That saves [Mysterio] from causing further injury from the concussion."

It was also confirmed that Mysterio will not return to in-ring action until he is at baseline and passes an exertion test. To be determined at baseline, Mysterio must pass the aforementioned impact/neuropsych test later in the week. Only then will he be permitted to undergo exertion testing.

WWE.com’s source estimated that the former WWE Champion “will probably be taking [the impact test today] if he’s still symptom-free, or later on this week.”

Comedienne Amy Schumer was on the Howard Stern show today and revealed that she used to date WWE Superstar Dolph Ziggler. Stern asked Schumer several questions about the relationship, mostly about sex, and Schumer said she had to break up with Ziggler because the sex was too athletic and he was throwing her around like they were wrestling. She texted him to break up and found out that Ziggler was a real sweetheart and that she hurt him. She said she still likes him, but they aren't meant to be together.

New advertisements for upcoming SmackDown live events have Randy Orton booked with Sheamus and Alberto Del Rio in three-way matches. With the exception of the period where he's away shooting 12 Rounds: Reloaded, Orton will remain in the main event picture.

I lost count of the number of dark main events in the last couple of months where Cena beat Show & random midcarder in a handicap match, which if shown on telly would ake show look weak as a kitten.

Think it was often Show and Laurinitis - they probably had a good ending to it to give the crowd a good cheer before going home.

Oh I didn't it was his birthday. Probably stating the absolute obvious but Vince absolute HATES ageing. Reports always come out that he is in a foul mood backstage around this time.

Its mad how practically every show or reference he makes is long gone.
I hope he isnt still 'borrowing' from those shows now.

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE wrestler and former TNA star Christian Cage is scheduled to make an appearance at TNA's Bound For Glory pay-per-view to induct Sting into the TNA Hall of Fame. The report claims that Christian's deal was two part and that this appearance completes the agreement between TNA and WWE to allow Flair to appear at the WWE hall of fame. There was intiaially a push to bring in Ric Flair to induct Sting into the TNA Hall Of Fame but the idea was quickly nixed shortly after his release from the company.

Flair's non-compete with TNA ends on September 6th as it was a 120-day non-compete. Even if there wasn't an ongoing lawsuit where he was named, Flair still could not have worked the 1000th RAW last month. With that lawsuit still up in the air, WWE is afraid to make any direct moves as far as contacting Flair and bringing him back. There's a feeling that Flair and Matt Morgan would both be in WWE right now if that lawsuit wasn't still going on.

Wonder if that has anything to do with how little Christian has been used lately? They know he'll be appearing in TNA again so dont want him as a big deal?

Really? You could be right.

But I think the TNA thing is more likely right now. Its not that long ago he was in the mix for the WHC now he is in the mix for dark matches.

They should have done a IC/US title unification match between Cesaro and Christian better than that throw away crap he's at with Santino

If Christian had stayed in 05 he might have reached the same status as Edge. My feeling is that Vince is never going to invest in a guy who's already flown the nest once. If feel there's a real camp friendly Jim Jones type atmosphere in WWE.
