In all honesty, this is just typical speculation for Wrestlmania. But nothing is ever concrete for Wrestlmania, especially at this time of the year.

Back in my day lad the WrestleMania main event was planned a year out!

DB hasn't had that second surgery yet, has he? I could see them offering him extended time off through Mania to just keep him out of Reigns's way. Wouldn't be the stupidest move in the world if they want Reigns to have a clear run at the title without the crowd turning on him.

I'm expecting the Ambrose support to gradually get to a point where the crowd turns on Reigns in support of him though.

Meltzer spoke extremely positively of some interview Reigns gave over the weekend, does anyone have a link to that?

Afaik Bryan hasn't had the surgery yet. He's having more tests done.

The Reigns interview was at the SummerSlam 2k Sports WWE game panel thing. Might be posted in the video thread.

It's when 'Taker got drafted to RAW at the start of the brand split. Flair picked him even though he and 'Taker were/had been feuding.

Ah ok, thought it might have been Taker losing his rag for real.

That RAW is on the WWE Network right now. It's real gif material

New tights for Kofi? Wonder if they're coming back with the idea to tv, or just trying it on house shows for now.

I came across this on WWE.com this evening, they couldn't possibly be thinking about introducing a second world championship again, could they?

they should do an EY style storyline where someone finds it in the thrash, Slater would be a perfect fit for that role.

Wasn't that originally a hacksaw jim Duggan in wcw storyline?

Having that belt found just sitting in a trash can seems a bit too disrespectful even for Vince.

They could use a copy of the old women's title. I love a bit of continuity.

Smackdown's going back to Thursdays, according to SyFy's scheduling.

    http://www.syfy.com/schedule/?date=2014-10-2

Was wondering if that means NXT goes to Wednesdays or Fridays.

Sticking a couple of rumours together TNA will be joining (the far smaller than SPIKE) WGN Network in January. SPIKE is getting out of Pro Wrestling and WGN won't be airing Chicago Cubs baseball games midweek anymore.

WGN aired WWE Superstars but cancelled it after low ratings.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,952 ✭✭✭Monokne

I'd imagine the money deal on WGN won't be pretty. Given TNA makes no money touring or on PPV, all their revenue is TV deals.

We've heard about $12 - $15 million from Spike...$6 million from WGN maybe, if they are lucky?

I don't think the reduced exposure hurts their business much in the sense that they don't do any business anyway.

A TV deal will at the very least keep the doors open for a while longer.

As much as I am pulling for TNA, surely we can't be far from the point where Dixie's parents sit her down and say "sweetheart, we are EIGHTY MILLION DOLLARS in the hole and things are getting worse not better. We love you, but enough is enough".

Actually it is worse for TNA. Meltzer shot down the WGN thing and said it was a station most haven't heard of.

Elsewhere have stated the possible channel:
We noted over the weekend that the impression was given by TNA sources that the company had been offered a new home on a new network that wasn’t as big as Spike TV. According to Raj Giri of WrestlingINC, Discovery Network’s VELOCITY channel has offered TNA a timeslot. VELOCITY is only in 48 million homes and is available in HD only.

Giri adds that the biggest issue with this deal would be the rights fee, which is less than a quarter of what TNA is currently getting from Spike TV. The deal may not be worth it if TNA can’t find an additional revenue stream.

TNA officials are relieved that they have another suitor but they are disappointed in the offer that has been made. They also hope that this will lead to other potential partners contacting them soon.

    Half the size of SPIKE.

Is there any word on Daniel Bryan? I know he was considering shoulder surgery and needed more invasive neck surgery but haven't heard anything since that.

Again though, size of the channel doesn't matter, just the size of the fee.

If they can get $10 million and run Orlando every month next year, they could probably get by ok.

But if they get $3 million, surely the Carters will see sense and pull the plug.

Afaik he's not looking at neck surgery but elbow surgery due to a pinched nerve which is believed to be causing him arm trouble. Apparently he's advertised for the November tour in Europe but it seems that in WWE the left hand is unaware of the right hand so I don't know how reliable that info is.

No reason to doubt him there. He flat out says he wanted both companies to be huge so more money could be made.

Yeah Hogan, Savage, Nash and Hall in particular used WWF for leverage endlessly in WCW:
