I probably mispoke as the US market lends itself to PPV, but the distribution channel will change with companies looking at ways to miss out the middle man whenever possible. Moving to online streaming either with the Network or iPPV was the way to go eventually - I just think WWE jumped the gun slightly.

PPV is a very US-centric model though. It doesn't work in Europe at all outside of UK & Ireland and even there it has never been overly big. The likes of Netflix show that there are better ways of monitorising content internationally.

A number of prominent WWE NXT talents have been booked for the next several weeks of WWE TV tapings, PWInsider.com has confirmed.
NXT champion Adrian Neville, Sami Zayn and Tyler Breeze are all scheduled to be at this Monday's Raw in Lafayette, LA and Tuesday's Smackdown in Biloxi, MS.

We are told that the NXT talents are expected to be at TV for at least the next several weeks. Whether they are used on TV to help continue to cross-promote the NXT brand remains to be seen.

Cool news. WWE's main roster programming needs a shot in the arm/kick in the arse.

Along with the podcast plug on Raw. After listening to the Austin podcast today I thought it sure sounded like he would be working with WWE in the near future, and the Observer site posting today seems to confirm that:

-- WWE has requested production of tons of different Steve Austin t-shirts, so Dave's theory on last night's Observer Radio that something was up with WWE and Austin appears to be the case.

Wonder what he's up to?

Either Wrestlemania (jaysus) or more likely fronting WWE Tough Enough on the WWE Network. Tough Enough was going to film in July but the stuff hit the fan with the subscriber numbers and budget cuts. It was thought at the time it would be moved to the Fall.

According to a report from PWInsider, the WWE may be planning some more risqué angles involving the Divas.

As we’ve seen the past few weeks, sexual tension has been teased between Paige and AJ Lee in their feud over the Divas Championship. Apparently, a creative decision was made last week to push this angle even further. No reports have detailed what exactly is being planned.

In addition to the Paige and AJ storyline, we recently saw more risky behavior when Rosa Mendes suffered a “wardrobe malfunction” on Main Event.

According to the report, the WWE will apparently be having more “slip ups”, as well as using more minor adult language during their programming. However, as WWE does maintain partnerships with family friendly companies like Mattel, fans shouldn’t expect anything too risky.
