I think anyone who thinks this Twitter stuff is real is getting worked. I'm aware tensions exist between main roster & NXT but their twitter accounts are an extension of their TV persona's. I would not be putting any stock in them.

Nearly every shoot incident in Wrestling gets turned into a work or the shoot gets entangled with the work if nobody cant separate the two. Even just for sanity reasons it is easier to say everything is a work and leave it there.

Anyways it doesn't really fit with Paige being a babyface, Sasha being a heel and how they have been presenting Charlotte in general.

Just as well the Twitter wasn't around in 1997 with Bret and Shawn. :P

no no, this is just a work

    No one likes smug!

    Unless you're Paul Heyman.

I'd take Charlotte over Paige or any of the other NxT divas at the moment to be honest (though there's a lot of talent there obviously).

Charlotte is a natural heel though, there's something vaguely dislikable about her (and Sasha Banks while I'm at).

Think she's getting slated because of her surname at this stage. Obviously it helped her get where she is but if she backs it up (and she does IMO) so what?

People complain relentlessly that the divas are all the same (and who wants Kelly Kelly back) Charlotte looks different enough to stand out without being nauseatingly saccharine like Bayley or a goth stereotype like Paige.

    Best of luck to her.

Just don't see it being a storyline or something that will draw money. Someone retroactively claiming something was a work is like the Wrestling version of "sure I was only slagging".

But if is a shoot (it is :P) at least it is being played out passive aggressively on social media and not what happened in Japan today (NSFW):

Jaysus rovert. Those photos are brutal!

The fact she targeted her eye like that is insane. All kinds of ****ed up.

It's a shame the Ambrose/Foley angle didn't pan out, that was a smart use of social media.

On Charlotte, I like her. I think the stuff between her and Paige is a work too. If Paige wins the title at Wrestlemania and Charlotte is called up, it could lead a kind of full-circle angle. Paige is the top dog taking on the rookie one year on from her debut.

Even then Foley as Foley does got his feelings hurt as Ambrose brought up Foley's children without Mick giving his permission. Work turning a shoot brother.

Foley failed a medical and needed an exit strategy; both have been commented upon.

We'll never know exactly, and it's conjecture otherwise.

I dunno if it's a work/shoot, if you claim to know for a fact that it's a shoot, I know you've got some stuff like this right before so I'd tend to believe it. At face value, though, it just looks like a couple of mates deciding to beef it up a bit on social media for the sake of getting someone in head office thinking, "Hmmm, this could work." And I just don't buy anything wrestlers say on Twitter. 99% of them wouldn't value a fan's professional criticism of a colleague, even someone they dislike (harsh but true), so them actively seeking out tweets that do so seems unlikely unless something else is in play.

This passive aggressive stuff happens all the time with Wrestlers and never plays out on screen.

*Cue Charlotte attacking Paige tonight at Fast Lane.*

Made passing reference to it here: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=94398650&postcount=9607

But the most story coming out of the Japan this weekend was a despicable incident where female wrestler shoot another one. Don't pay attention to Joshi Wrestling at all but the short version of the story is that Act Yasukawa used to do a pirate gimmick and would wear an eye patch due being blind in one eye. She had surgery and was able to see for the first time in her life in that eye. An endearing character who the crowd likes but isn't "there"yet in the ring. Yoshiko was booked to drop the belt to Act but shoot on her viciously instead. There's a whole lot of weirdness to the story about owner of the promotion restarting the match and what will Yoshiko's actual punishment will be. Here is a report about it (3:21 for the incident). NSFW/disturbing footage warning:

Shoots in the ring can be really weird and in Japan x10.

Fast Lane aired on Sky 1 at the request of WWE due to so many complaints received by Sky over the fact that the Royal Rumble basically aired on Sky Sports the following night free.

So many people were unhappy that they had paid for the PPV that Sky and WWE then made it basically free for everyone to make up for the previous month.

Well it suits Zigglers porn star gimmick that he was had by Sunny.

It's well worth reading up on Acts story, she has been through a lot and to have this happen to her is shocking. She comes as a very decent human being, and why Yoshiko can just sit there smiling after what she did complelty boggles my mind; an absolute scumbag.

Here is a great piece on Acts life up to March of last year:

I really wish a big indie company would go about making their own stars in interesting ways rather than just bring in a load of WWE rejects. Think ECW. TNA and RoH, even back around 2002, just built guys as "wow this guy is a great wrestler, look what he can do!" But fans conditioned by WWE (i.e. ALL wrestling fans outside of Mexico and Japan) don't engage and invest with that; they enjoy it, but it's a dime a dozen and promotions like that will only ever build a cult following, max.

I hate the term WWE reject. It seems kind've demeaning to me, to call a wrestler a WWE reject. I mean when you think of the fact that wrestlers are contractors first and foremost, and usually spend a portion of their careers wrestling for other promotions, then a term like reject shouldn't be applied. Simply put, you get work where you can in wrestling. But there shouldn't be a stigma against a wrestler because of where he worked.

I mean Stone Cold Steve Austin was released from WCW. Doubt anyone called him a WCW reject when he made his debut for ECW.

EC3 would be considered a WWE reject too, but he seems to be doing very well for himself in TNA.

Fair point, and I'd tend to agree, but look it's people's perceptions like it or not. They may be plenty capable, but in the opportunity they had to show what they can do on the biggest stage, they're seen as people who didn't bring much new to the table. So they're not really the drawing card companies think they are. It tells me they're stuck for ideas more than anything else. Whereas I'd be much more intrigued with a company using a guy I didn't already feel I knew much about in a way that shows me WWE missed a trick big-time (EC3 is a perfect example there). But JoMo, Mysterio and Del Rio? I've had my fill of them tbh.

This is a better match then anything at WM 31. A talking Monkey cuts a better promo then Reigns. this is the type of crap WWE studios make.

In the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio (via Wrestlezone), Dave Meltzer said that Brock Lesnar was involved in a backstage situation that WWE doesn’t want to get out. WWE announced several times that Brock would be on RAW with Paul Heyman to talk about Roman Reigns, but Lesnar never showed.
Meltzer said there was “more to the story”.

He said: “The story is ongoing and still in progress. I don’t think anyone wants it out until whatever it is is settled…but something happened, but what that is, I do not know.

He added that he doesn’t think the situation is bad enough that the Wrestlemania 31 main event is in jeopardy, but there “is an unanswered question, and I don’t know what it is right now.”

My guess is that Brock was asked to be part of that promo shambles that took place last night with Heyman and point blank refused.

Given how much WWE has fcuked around with their fanbase in the past year it would be hilarious if Brock pulled out of Mania.

    Brilliant quote on Reddit regarding a possible Brock walkout;
Finally, Vacant will get the championship rematch he deserves.

Update on Brock and why he wasnt on Raw
It’s been reported that Brock Lesnar was kept off Monday Night Raw last night due to some sort of backstage incident. Dave Meltzer noted there was more to the story regarding the WrestleMania headliner, but that those inside WWE did not want it told “until whatever it is is settled.”

Mike Johnson of PWInsider is shedding a bit of light on the mysterious situation, noting that Brock Lesnar was visibly angry backstage, and may have even walked out of the Raw taping before it went off the air. Johnson was told it has nothing to do with creative plans heading into WrestleMania, but “something regarding his business relationship with WWE”.

Vince McMahon reportedly acknowledged the issue during a Smackdown production meeting earlier today, but didn’t say much. Regarding the WWE Champion, Lesnar flew into Nashville for Raw last night on his private plane, but returned home to Minnesota and will not be at tonight’s taping event.

So its money then. No surprise there with Brock.

That choice of him ending the streak is looking really smart right about now
