Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've had a Sony Cybershot DSC-W30 for about 3 years. Over the last few weeks I've had a intermittant problem when i turn on the camera. The screen comes on, says "Cybershot", then "Access", but the lenses barrel keeps going in and out for a few cycles and then I get the "Turn the camera off and on again" message. I initially suspected dust / dirt on the outside of the barrel, but its actually got worse since I cleaned it. I seem to have full electronic control, so I wonder if its the lens focusing system

The problem comes and goes. Some times restarting solves it other times I have to leave it for a day. It seems less problematic if I have had the camera in my pocket (and hence warm) compared to my bag, but its not exactly freezing out there. Any ideas?

Separately, there is an ongoing problem where the mode dial has the habit of "spinning" by itself. Again, any ideas welcome.

It could be some kind of short in the circuit. Take the battery out and pop it back in after a minute. Sometimes this can work. Reapirs are very expensive, I wouldn't recommend spending money getting it fixed cos you'd get a new one for nearly the same cost as a repair. :o

Yeah, I've tried the battery thing.
