Malin to Mizen is c.300 miles, it is the conventionally held longest distance between points in Ireland and not involving a sea crossing .

By road this is c.400 miles not c.300 miles.

Roads construction policy should be designed to ensure that the average car with a 400 mile radius charge/tank service radius may proceed efficiently on one charge/tank from Malin to Mizen by the year 2020 .

(Disclaimer ....Sponge Bob does not expect charging stations at Malin or Mizen by then.
He merely that overall state policy is sufficiently advanced to enable the citizen to exercise this freedom of movement metric in a THEN average electric or diesel car .

If that requires that electric cars 'ping' diesel cars with a get out of my ****ing way packet that is fine by me. Yes it means we must bypass Claregalway and Charleville and Ballybofey )
