Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

There is a general push against equalisers in hi-fi. the theory is that it would be better to spend the money on better components that naturally produce a better sound, rather that try to artifically inflate the bass or treble - which would not sound like the artists/producer intended.

AV amps have equalisation but it is to compensate for a non-ideal room and speaker position rather than tinkering with the sound.

Read the reviews and buy the best amp and speakers for the money and don't worry too much about equalisers - you won't be dissapointed. Otherwise use a PC with some basic music editing software.

Best bet is probably Richer Sounds in Belfast. They deliver to boardies for free (usually) or you can collect in their sister shop (the Philips Store) in Dublin. Check out the forum

Alternatively, order by the UK/ebay, plenty of places deliver to Ireland (e.g.Superfi, creative video, exceptional-av etc).
