Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Cant understand why Noel Hunt is on. Give Best a chance as he looks alot more threatning. Start of the mexican waves is never a good sign.

    cyprus score again :(

I'd imagine it would be a totally different game had they needed anything from it.

If Italy needed something from that game they would not be 0-2 down, we can be pretty certain of that. Though to Cyprus credit they have improved significantly over the last few years and have become pretty tricky opponents.

I see Bulgaria are turning on the style tonight aswell, a bit late now lads. They were the big flop in the group.

Ah Keane you were never gonna score from that angle.

    George Hamilton: Classic Robbie Keane.

Yup you're right George.... He missed yet another shot. ;)

Bar Stephen Hunt the crossing has been dreadful tonight. Nobody is beating the first man.

    Great save Given. FFS lads.

Reminded me of Lee Carsley handball during a playoff match. You can picture it being McShane this time around...

I'd like to see the former Ceann Comhairle in midfield. The pace of the game would suit him.

    This really is shocking stuff

    lol at Andrews yawning :pac:

    Highlight of the match

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,925 ✭✭✭aidan24326

It really is awful stuff. Christ, considering we've already wrapped up second place you'd think Trap might have sent them out to play a bit of football? Even with a slightly weakened team we should be beating this crowd.

Noel Hunt very disappointing tonight, he doesn't look to be the answer.

Jaysus Dunphy is going to have to be spectacularly entertaining to make up for this borefest.

It's the 2009 version of Egypt v Ireland from Italia '90. Except worse.

No doubt he'll tear Noel Hunt a new one. Heap praise on Given, Kilbane and maybe Miller and Hunt.... the other one.

I remember some terrible days in Lansdowne Road just after Big Jack took charge. Terrace was empty enough for a lad to relieve himself (his mates formed a circle around him). But this comes close!

Fcuk sake I'd rather pull the balls off my dog than watch this tripe. Italy drawn level now against Cyprus.

Wayhey! We can stay unbeaten after playoffs too. Unfortunately go out on away goals but hell we be undefeated! :)

So we beat Georgia and Cyprus home and away and draw with everyone else. It's the Irish way! :D

Quality flag from one of the supporters.

"Trap Reid our lips. We want Andy"

Surely if we the fans are being forced to play 70 odd euro for a ticket to these games we should have at least a wee bit of say in what team gets played.

The Italy game was 70 euro. I generally sit in the Cusack stand and AFAIK it's the more expensive stand.

The camera is really bugging me tonight in the studio. It's too close to everyone's faces.

Thank fook RTE haven't highly defined their stations yet. Wrinkly wrinkly men is not the reason why I bought a HD tv.

Credit where credit is due Hunt played well, Miller started well but faded near the end.
I think if we play the likes of Portugal we are in big trouble.
Any team who plays an expansive game will put us under severe pressure.
