Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey

Has anyone here had to write a script or program which determines the operating system based on information from the registry.

    So far, I only see
    ProductName value at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion

it had following entries for some o/s
    • Microsoft Windows XP
    • Windows Vista (TM) Ultimate
    • Windows Server (R) 2008 Enterprise
    • Windows 7 Ultimate

but would there be any other ways?

    thanks in advance.
