I'll be there again tonight ............not doing too well in the photo competition so I'm hoping that there'll be another one after tonights' game?

I've a really strong mini "table-top" tripod if you wanna loan of it?

I should be there about 6 o'clock (wearing a yellow beanie) give me a shout if you want it....

No competition this time. But I'm sure there'll be a photo thread for people to post images.

I'm starting to understand what people vote for in the comps. Not always the best photo, but the emotional one.

Hi Paul,

I agree with what you said about people voting based upon their emotions .............not saying that mine was the best .........it wasn't, but I do see what you mean about the type of picture people will vote for.

Having said that, I voted for 7, as per earlier statement .........but I hope that I gave a reasoned point of view that swung my vote and it wasn't emotion?

If I'd been an editor looking at an agency board I'd have chosen that picture purely because it captured the moment of the hopes of the nation diving headfirst into history ..............this picture should have been bought by all the Irish newspapers ......and I didn't see anything like it in the press :mad:

Never mind ...........I suppose that's why I'm not an editor?

An almost identical shot was on the front page of the Sunday Independent.

He didn't.

The Indo have a contract with Sportsfile so one of their photographers must have been sitting beside him.

Thanks for the offer of the tri pods lads, I wont be availing of them unless anybody has one of those little brollies that sits on the hot shoe adaptor!:D

Stan, I am not doing very well in the photo competition too, but I won the last one. Hope we have a comp tonight. Hope it wont rain, talk with you all tonight in GAA HQ
