Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Robert Delany was the victim of a vicious gun attack on 22nd October 2008 at his home in Tallaght, Dublin where he lived with his partner and two young children. Robert worked as a Postman and was shot at 6.30 a.m. as he looked out the window of his apartment to see who was buzzing on his door.Robert (27) sustained severe brain injuries and remains critically ill in Tallaght Hospital
The Gardaí have stated publicly that Robert was not known to them and was never involved in any criminal activities.

Robert’s family and friends who are devastated as a result of the attack have organised the “Justice for Robert Delany Campaign” , which was launched on Saturday, 31st January 2009 at a public meeting in the Plaza Hotel in Tallaght, which was attended by over 200 people and all of the local public representatives in Tallaght. Following the meeting 10,000 leaflets were distributed in Tallaght appealing to the public to give information to the Gardaí.

One of the most disturbing features of the vicious attack on Robert is the people allegedly responsible are masquerading as Irish Republicans and have used the name of Irish Republicanism to cover themselves. The Delany family have met with Gerry Adams, President of Sinn Féin and Sean Crowe the local Sinn Féin Councillor following which Sinn Féin issued statements and leaflets supporting the “Justice for Robert Delany Campaign”.

Our aim as a family is to get justice for Robert and stop those responsible who are walking the streets from destroying other families

Not sure if I'll be around for this or not, but will buy a ticket regardless.

I've just bought one too, although I'm not yet sure I can go along.

I've heard about that lad as he lives near my parents. Hope he pulls through.
