Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Dual boot and software installation

I have just installed Windows 7 (90 day trial) to dual boot with Vista. I installed the Windows 7 on a separate (25GB) partition on the same disc that Vista is running on.

I need to install some programs like MS Office etc to use when working in the Windows 7 environment, should I install these on the partition dedicated to Windows 7?

Or can I install them to the same directory where they are installed for Vista? I am not sure of the correct/best procedure in this instance.

    Any advice grateful

    Thanks

You can install them anywhere you want. If there only going to last 90 days just stick them in a folder that would make them easy to get rid of so I'd put them on the same partition as the win 7 install if there's room.

thanks, that makes sense given I will be deleting the partition in 90 days.

If I decide to purchase Win 7 down the track and run the dual boot setup again, would you advise the same or could I save space by installing in the same directory as Vista?
