Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi Guys,

Quick question here, If i know where a bus is going to pass by, and there is a bus stop on the OPPOSITE side of the road for the other direction, what do you reckon are the chances the bus driver will stop for a lunatic waving a ticket? :D

    Thanks!

About the same chance you have of the bus company thinking to put a stop where you're standing. It really depends on the driver, it's as much a game of Russian Roulette as anything else in Irish public transport.

    really depends on the driver.

some drivers take some perverse pleasure in seeing people miss their bus, especially if its raining.

In my experience, DB drivers tend to stop. Especially if you are running.

    +1

Some have even stopped for me when I'm running on the other side of the road :) Drivers on the 17a/27b out of Harristown seem to be especially friendly.

This is the winning part - drivers are much more wiling to use their discretion for people who (a) already have a ticket (b) have it ready and won't spend several minutes rooting for it.
