My friend got one of the new 3g sims to use in an unlocked 3g phone. . It shows up inactive how long does it take to activate or what does he need to do to activate it.

They are active from the pack. It may be inactive if he/she got it awhile ago and didn't use it till now.

Got it yesterday it shows up inactive in the Phone.
