Dual Immersion Heater Long or Short?

    Hi all,

Just a quick question. I have a hot water cylinder that's about 1.4m high. It has a dual copper immersion heater in it.
    The immersion is 36" long.
Is it better to have one say 27" long or does it matter?
It is really only used for sinks and the odd bath.

Also does anybody have the formula for calculating how long it will take to heat the full tank?

    Thanks
