Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Damn you Mike, I came online to start this weekend's thread, I thought I had a corker of a thread title...

Premier League now back to the bread and butter weekend thread?

    :pac:

Spurs are likely to have Woodgate and Dawson both available to play, and Ledley King is not far off fitness either. Wislon Palacios is likely to be rested after his midweek trip home, and Keane and Defoe should start up front.

'Arry and Defoe will get a warm reception I'm sure, though whether 16 Pompey fans end up with their mugshots on the front pages remains to be seen.

I've yet to see us lose in person this season, that can't last for ever though...

I can't believe all the people going for a Sunderland win/draw. Even without Torres and Gerrard, Liverpool are still a better team. It will still be an upset in my mind if Sunderland do manage to win.

That was of course until I saw the team Liverpool put out :)

The only good news appears to be that Utds back line is cack as well. Poor defending seems to be the theme of the season.

I thought Wolves were in for a famous win, sadly 1-1.

Jesus, Robert Huth really is a f*cking scumbag

Just showed on MOTD, at a set piece (before the ball was kicked) Huth swings at Upton's face. Open fist thankfully, but f*ckin hell he really can't resist can he...

What was Defoe sent off for today?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 27,857 ✭✭✭✭Dave!

Got tangled up with a Pompy player, stood up and stamped on yer man's leg in plain sight of the referee. Wasn't a particularly heavy stamp, but it was intentional so no choice really.

It negates the points he got me for his goal  Ended up only gettin 3 points outa him ! And gonna have to sell him now cos he's gone for 3 matches or whatever

Great start to one of the biggest derbies this season,

Robbie Blake scoring a screamer to put Burnely 1-0 up,

and local Lad Dunn getting an equaliser for Blackburn not long after.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,792 ✭✭✭✭JPA

There should be plenty more goals in this Blackburn - Burnley game I reckon.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,170 ✭✭✭Royale with Cheese

Some woeful Burnley defending there. Whatever about the keeper, Alexander's header put it on a plate for di Santo.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 631 ✭✭✭andrewie

    That was shocking defending.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,727 ✭✭✭✭Sherifu

Lot of keepers getting caught in no man's land this weekend. The header back across the box was a howler much like Lampards yesterday.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,326 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

3-1 to Blackburn now, Chimbonda with a nice finish.

Some good attacking play by Blackburn at times - nice to see them not punting it up for the big men. Burnley's defence is not at it today. I won't be complaining though :D

    Tidy finish for the third.
