Hi everyone, I'm a total dunce regarding clothes & know nothing about modern fabrics. I have a 3 in 1 field jacket (it has a detachable inner jacket) made by Timberland which says it's "waterproof",yet the label states the body of the jacket is 100% cotton. Does this mean that the material is "breathable", or am I destined…

Hi everyone,

I'm a total dunce regarding clothes & know nothing about modern fabrics.

I have a 3 in 1 field jacket (it has a detachable inner jacket) made by Timberland which says it's "waterproof",yet the label states the body of the jacket is 100% cotton.
Does this mean that the material is "breathable", or am I destined to sweat
buckets while wearing the outer jacket once the Winter's over ?.
