Was talking to John just after he got knocked out last night. He was chip leader with 4 left at one stage. Ended up getting it in 3 way with 66 vs AK and AJ, as long as the AJ didn't win he was guaranteed 3rd and extra €10k, and also the chip lead. Jack on the turn though and gg. Himself and Rees and a few other play the WPT main event today.

cheers lads ty, was a bit annoying to come 4th after being chipy with 4 left. Didnt get my money in bad and was out 4th. Main event today and theres a good group of young Irish in the mix. Myself O'Dea Rees Demot Blane Seamus and Nigel (well hes well old), hopefully someone can run good.

    from pokernews...

    Irish Stuck Together

High Stakes PLO player Dave Callaghan has joined the frenetic action at table 1. This means of the five Irish players still in the tournament, four of them are at the same table. (Callaghan, John O'Shea, Rory Rees-Brennan and Nigel Murphy).

"We came to play Morrocans not each other!" said O'Shea.

The only other Irishman still in is Eoghan O'Dea over on table five.

    O'Shea Busts Callaghan
John O'Shea has eliminated Dave 'Halibut2' Callaghan after the latter checked-called the whole way on a 5x 6x 6x 7x 9x board, calling all-in on the river.

O'Shea showed 5x 6x for a flopped boat and Callaghan simply mucked and left the table.

John O'Shea has been eliminated just on the bubble after losing out in two fatal pots that cost him his stack.

UL John - v ul with the pocket 10's

Nigel Murphy sitting on 150k at the moment - avg stack.

    Sick hand for Nigel!
Kai Paulsen raised to 8,000 from early position, Nigel Murphy reraised all-in next to him for about 50,000. Everyone else folded and Paulsen quickly called.

    Paulsen: KK
    Murphy: KQd

Dominated, Murphy hit the flop so hard he must have got a nosebleed when it came 8d9d10d and before Paulsen could even hope and pray for a pairing of the board to give him a glimmer of hope, the Jd came on the turn killing his dreams. The 6s was incidental and Paulsen has been crippled as a result.
