Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Replacing MF590 door

A friend has a MF 590 and that bloody rear opening door is in pretty bad condition. He has the idea that he could mount a door from another series cab (165/185 or 3/6 series) on the front pillar of the cab and build in a new pillar behind it.

Problem is that he doesn't know if they are even the same shape or size as there's none around he can test. To make matters more difficult, the cab also has an angle in the vertical plane, so the middle of the door is proud of the top and bottom. Crazy MF designers!

Does anyone know if it would fit or even the dimensions of these doors? Or any other ideas ye could throw at him?

    Thanks!

Probably not much use to you but new doors (left hand side only)have recently become available from MF dealers, but last I heard they were asking 750 sterling not including glass or lock, Pocock tractors in the UK stock them too don't know how much though try and google for their details.
Or there is a guy in Kerry near Causeway that exports MF tractors mostly 500 and 600 series he usually has loads of cab bits around the place, its a bit far from leitrim though!
I'll try dig out his phone no.

Thanks. Kerry is a bit far alright. As for a brand new door he doesn't want to spend that much on it, just wants be dry and keep it neat(ish).
