ARGOS Pool Table for €200 pool table , ANY GOOD ??

hi all ,

I want to get a new/newish pool table 6x3 for myself and the kids , doesn't have to be slate , preferably not as I may need to move it in future .
Argos have one , which was €399 now €199 , if it last two years I'd be a happy camper .. my budget is about €200 + delivery .

has anyone bought one of these ones , is it any good ? I don't expect it to be championship quality . I can assemble it myself no problem .

In a word, no. These tables are never good I can tell you from experience, try and get a former pub pool table second hand as you can recloth it and it'll be a proper job. But you'd be spending 500 quid at least, money well spent imo. Avoid this one like the plague!

Have a look in Ken Black they hav a good selection of sturdy strong tables.. bought one 3 years back still have it paid €400 at the time..

You're dead right. Only job is the "pub quality" pool table. These so called pool tables are fire wood tbh

I need something I can use outside (until I can afford a house extension) that I can fold away and store inside when it gets really cold.

Just trying to get my playing up to some kind of standard...

With delivery it is costing about 430 euro for junk. Try http://www.superleague.ie/pool_sales.htm see how much refurbished tables are.

Aye, but it has to be either capable of surviving outdoors or be able to fold-away and hide. And those specialist outdoor tables are about 2 grand.

I'm just looking for something to have a lark about on. Not trying to be the next world champion or anything..... but if these tables are as bad u people say they are... would it be a lot handier to just burn 450 quid?

Stay well away from that table, it's an American Pool Table, and not a proper one at that. It's too low to the ground and just looks way too shaky altogether, try and get a pub table, there's no point in buying a piece of **** tbh..

How about this one in Argos? Gone down to half price. It went down two years ago also.
