Looking for musicians for original project

    Hi,

Ive used boards to find bands and musicians a few times over the last few years so here we go again.

Im mainly a bass player put play synth also.
I play and record guitar at home also put have never played a gig as a guitar play and nor do i intend to.

Ideally im looking for someone who can play guitar and has a good knowledge of synths and programming beats ect.

I want to start a project that will have 2/3 people doing various things to create a nice full sound.

Originally I was decided on the fact that all beats would be programmed using (using Ableton or other) but Im open to the option of a drummer if he/she is experienced in electronic music.

Im 23, based in Dublin city. Lots of gear. No car.
Ive played in various straight up rock bands and want something different.

Ive been recording by myself the last year or so (ie. not playing gigs)
I enjoy the process but rarely get anything finished. I need someone to help me with direction.
Ive also been getting the itch lately to start gigging again.

A few recent samples ive been messing with recently can be found here.
Although I quite like them, this is not necessarily the direction I want to take this. http://soundcloud.com/spartakmusic/

Some new stuff that Im really into right now is the new album from "Whitest Boy Alive"

Id like to do something like this but a bit edgier.

Other stuff I like is: Battles, Holy F*ck, Gary Numan (old and new) , Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, and on the rockier side: Soundgarden, Tool, Echo and the Bunnymen, The Cure, Editors.

    I think that covers everything.
    Age is unimportant.
I dont expect to change the world, just enjoy music.
    PM if interested.

If you're looking for a guitarist I'm up for it. Been playing for 8 years. Have played around with synths and have recorded. I'm based in South Dublin but can travel.

Let me know if you're interested!

Hey man sounds interesting, im a keyboard/synth/piano player and I also us cubase and other programs for producing music mostly native instruments battery/akoustic/elektrik piano/fm8/kontakt also use some korg vst's and a few others. I have a kaosscilator too there is a pretty **** demo on my myspace page. Im open to making any music aslong as its orignal, my influences range form aphex twin, pliad, anti pop consortium or anythinf from warp records to 80s stuff like the cure, duran duran, depeche mode, kate bush to pink flyod, led zepplin blue oyster cult, radiohead, muse , queen, boards of canada, future sounds of london, infected mushroom, bob dylan, cat stevens, neil young, tori amos, dresden dolls, ceephax acid crew, orbital leftfield, daft punk.. the list really does go on and on I just thought i try get a bit of each genre i listen to. Im 23 living in coolock studying music tech available and willing to practice most of the time and spend most of my spare time messing about on the keyboard or making random beats anyway so it would be good to get together with someone so I can actually start making tracks and not just random bits and pieces, I have a fair few ideas for songs I wanna make but never get around to recording them, check out my myspace www.myspace.com/bedford-music email me if you interested in getting together ste.bedford@gmail.com. also bear in mind that the stuff on myspace is pretty haislty recoreded with not alot of thought going into the outcome but its there anyways.

p.s if anyone else reading this is looking for a keboard player check out my stuff and get back to me im open to making most styles of music.
