Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The outburst has already become a sensation with Internet sites selling T-shirts emblazoned with the phrase "They can keep sucking it".

    I want one! :D

Hard to know whether to be in awe of him or pity him tbh.

    Thank god they qualified.

Outbursts/implosions in South Africa guaranteed. Especially now that he's getting a good head of steam on him.

At least Maradona was doing some entertaining in the foreground.

I was watching that clip and I was thinking "OK, when is he going to get crazy?" and then he comes out with that classic stuff. Oh lord.

He will only have 20 outfield players to pick for it, he will be baffled. ;) If they seriously want to win it they would probably be better off getting rid of him.

    MG

what a joke of a manager

the south American qualifiers are the easiest qualifiers around and he wants his fair dues for getting them into the world cup

    bloody joke

Argentina probably have the best team in south America and he still barely qualifies

I fear for Argentina in the WC

 The South American qualifiers are surely the most difficult?!
But yes, Argentina should qualify somewhat handily.

Ironic that Argentina are sponsored by Coke.......

I wonder will Diego be allowed to bring his own supply to South Africa? :D

    I wouldnt agree mate

first off you have 4 automatic places and the 5th place goes into a play off with the 4th placed team from North,Central America & Caribbean team

next is the very poor teams like peru, Bolivia and Venezuela

18 games though, it's very tough IMO.

Some of those games are practically played in space.

its handy enough for brazil and argentina tho, the other 3 always change dont think they have ever been teh same 3 twice.

    Actually good like that tbh

    Fcuking love Maradona.

He doesn't give a fcuk what anyone else thinks about him and speaks his mind.

I bet he's related to Dunphy.

Roll on the world cup and the Argies press conferences.

And lol @ the notion that South American qualifiers are easy. They are the hardest in the world ffs.

Today he came out and apologised to his mother, the women of Argentina, the women of Uruguay, and women of the rest of the world.

He's still a national embarrassment to Argentina.

Except that it's notoriously hard to win in those places with such high altitude. Away games in in South America are about as difficult as they get.

Argentina's result in Montevideo was probably one of the big shocks of the entire South American qualifying campaign.

he makes Dunphy seem like angel

    Odious little creep isn't he?

He's the worst manager in South America, with one of the world's best squads, and he comes out with this because people dare to criticise him?

This is the only thread on soccer forum where I think can tell people they have a dick in there ass and not get banned.

To me, it just seems an example of someone who is completely mentally illequipped to deal with being a manager. Due to the very nature of what they do, they're going to be constantly questioned, derided and insulted, and there's certainly going to be falsehood as well. Part of the job of being a manager, however, is to ignore all that stuff and get on with what you're doing - coming out with interviews like this just shows the immaturity and unsuitability of Maradona towards international management at the moment.

He's mentally ill-equipped to be a human being.

    Roll on the summer.

I'm putting my money on a coke binge, slapped journalist or mid-tournament resignation.
