Surprised no one has started one yet so here it is..

So who's hot and who's not here, the Red Bulls look to have it sown up here ;)
torro R strong standing backs this up it seems, and shows they have the DNA for the track (as kennedy would say)
McLarens faded a good bit though Hamilton in 10th! (but times much closer here than usual)
Ferrari look way off though

Yep was wondering where this thread was earlier. Thought it was funny how they red flagged the practice session because of a few bits of styrofoam on the track.

Webber was pretty racey. I think the tyres will be a big factor, Kers cars will probably go well, mclaren win maybe

Practice 3 a washout, nothing to be gained here, guess we'll have to wait for qualifying to see the propper form cards.

Well they did have a few wet minutes, before a renault brought out the red flag. Hope qualifying is not like Japan, broken up with yellow or redflags

ye, they got some running but nothing meaningfull (wet running is a different driving style) and only really matters if its a wet race.

Why, the more unpredictable the better for me

I just thought japan qualifying was a bit of an anticlimax towards the end. Don't mind a bit of a shake up but like to see them pushing for a time as the end

Two minutes until qualifying. That track looks undrivable. I will be shocked if it gets underway on time.

jesus! Vettel out in Q1  and Hamilton

there goes my fantasy league team :(

  • Registered Users Posts: 386 ✭✭Irishshin

    Very interesting Qualy.

Impressed with Kimi :) And the Williams are doing really well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,823 ✭✭✭EvilMonkey

Looks like Hamilton and Vettel believed too much in the hype that there great wet drivers and set the car up for a dry race. Big mistake, disappointed for Vettel I was hoping he could put some pressure on Button.

eye weve been robbed of yet another good race in prospect  , and Fisi yet again shows why he doesnt deserve a ferrari

Ah, that's not fair. On a wet or drying track, he's usually one of the fastest guys out there. There wasn't a lot he could do to avoid aquaplaning on that turn, and he wasn't exactly helped by his anti-stall system. If tomorrow's race takes place on a wet or drying track, I reckon he could still pick up a point or two.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,577 ✭✭✭lord lucan

Looks like a few, most notably Red bull and Mclaren have banked on a dry race tomorrow, could be a silly decision if weather forecasts for tomorrow are to be believed!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,390 ✭✭✭IM0

vettels 'batmobile' arrives back to pitlane :p

  • Registered Users Posts: 386 ✭✭Irishshin

Fisi has said his anti stall didn't work again.

Wonder are we gonna see Q2 or Q3!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,577 ✭✭✭lord lucan

    Some smash by Liuzzi!!!!!!

let me say that again...doesnt deserve the ferrari, parachuting into a bad ferrari with 4-6 races to go, with no knowledge of KERS, or the manual brake bias adjusting non automatic, and being ITALIAN in a Prancing horse was suicide for his career!

Come on get them out, the track wont dry without come cars on it. :P

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,412 ✭✭✭✭Ghost Train

Hope they continue on. Would hate if time becomes a factor and they scrap part of the qualifying.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,282 ✭✭✭Glico Man

If it continues like it is then surely they would stop it, and have qualifying some time before the race tomorrow?

They'd probably just use the times from q1. Does look like they might get going soon

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,412 ✭✭✭✭Ghost Train

  • Registered Users Posts: 386 ✭✭Irishshin

Any hopes if qualifying getting started sometime this year... or at least call it off and use quali one times??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,823 ✭✭✭EvilMonkey

Its still raining its not going to be dryer in 10 mins

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,251 ✭✭✭cyning

should know in about five minutes... the track loks as bad as Malaysia and that was called off

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,293 ✭✭✭✭Mint Sauce

i hear the arguement for geting the cars out to dry the track, but it looks the rain is still falling, and with standing water is traffic on the track going to make any different, even the medical car looks like its struggling to get around

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,251 ✭✭✭cyning

BBC even having problems interviewing on the Pit Lane with rain on the camera lens: would make for a great race with Barrichello in P5 and Button in P6

    At last some good news

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,349 ✭✭✭Phibsboro

Watching BBC, bernie doesn't look too healthy there, has he had an incident recently?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,251 ✭✭✭cyning

Don't know about Bernie... that track still looks pretty wet... interesting race tomorrow I think! And intermediate tyres with that amount of spray seems silly

  • Registered Users Posts: 386 ✭✭Irishshin

    Wow Button!

Come on Rubens! This is his chance!

Is it me or this completely unprecidented to have a quali session lasting for 2.5hrs+ I cant remember last time something like this happened

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,412 ✭✭✭✭Ghost Train

Button should have put some fresh tires on 3 min from the end

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,251 ✭✭✭cyning

What has happened to Button.... is he driving a completely different car to Barichello: coasting is no way to be world champion. And ya this qualifying seems to be longest ever!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,390 ✭✭✭IM0

Button should have put some fresh tires on 3 min from the end

and Vettel should have set his car up for the wet :p
    ye make yer choices...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,174 ✭✭✭Top Dog

Button's conservative approach could cost him dearly!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,390 ✭✭✭IM0

This could be a VERY interesting race now :)
    heres hoping :crossesfingers:

  • Registered Users Posts: 386 ✭✭Irishshin

I think Interlagos is gonna give us an excellent race tomorrow :)

That was one of the best qualifying sessions ever (except for the waiting lol)

    I hope Rubens wins this.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,390 ✭✭✭IM0

If there is a god Rubino will win this championship.
God knows he's helped a certain RED BARON to enough championships over the years ;)
