Far too cautious from Button, Great finish, good lap from Barichello.
Should be a good race tomorrow.

What the f*** is Button up to. Hmmmmm, I can see Rubens getting a good result tomorrow and Button not getting any points. Worse case scenario is that Rubens wins and Button gets 0 points which leaves him 4 points ahead for Abu Dhabi. But to be honest, on his current form, he doesn't look like he can beat Rubens.

I've always been a Button fan... but he does not deserve to win with this cautious driving! I'd prefer to see Barrichello be world champion: to be fair if he doesn't win now he never will! And he deserves it after the Schumi years

:rolleyes:Cautious driving. Whoever has the most points deserves to win the title, simple as. No matter when in the season they happened to pick them up.

well done and good luck tomorrow ruebens. hope he wins championship

still think its too big a gap for rubens to close, but if he does win tomorrow with jenson out of the points then who knows, would make for a big final race

Button will be taken out on the fist corner. (With a bit of luck) :)

lol and Webber gets to the front and holds the entire field up for Vettel to come through and take the win. Carlsberg don't do F1 races if they did ....

Maybe sometime people will realise Alonso is not as good as he is made out to be.
He had the better car and the luck of the devil for two years, Never showed much since to be honest

ugh came home after the pub to watch quallie on the iplayer

have bbc.co.uk as home page in browser

squinted my eyes to avoid the result and changed the url

fell asleep in Q1. Woke up this morning and watched the rest of the program which cut off as it went over to BBC2.

Had to look at the results to find the highlights then of Q2 and Q3.

    /sigh

Sometimes you just have to watch it live!

He has a bad car and no luck over the past year, but still showing so much potential of what he can do in the Ferrari next year to be honest.

I think if Rubens gets 10 or 8 points today and Jenson doesn't score then Rubens will become favourite to lift the title. The way I see it at the moment, for whatever reason, Jenson isn't performing and he doesn't seem to be able to beat Rubens. Abu Dhabi is a bit of an unknown but even if Rubens is behind Jenson on points, I can't see Jenson beating him at the next race. I'm just wondering if Jenson's luck is about to run out and will he be punished for not wrapping the thing up sooner.

i think jenson beat him last race :D

I think weather might make it difficult for rubens to have a straight forward race. If weather is poor, i just hope we get a race

Jenson could always take Rubens out in the last race :o
    :pac:

Anyone know what chances of a wet race are?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,316 ✭✭✭✭amacachi

Last place I checked said 40% chance of rain through the day. Though it seems to change hour-by-hour and site by site.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,936 ✭✭✭LEIN

Thanks. Wet race would be entertaining, although if like yesterday it could be painful!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,316 ✭✭✭✭amacachi

So long as it's not "too" wet and we get the usual whinging from the drivers.

    You wasted your time then.
I was not specifying this year only..
    I did mean 2007-2008-2009

Ok so whats the chances of Vettel and Hamilton charging through the field to at least a points finish?

Will Vettel be doing banzai moves on the cars in front all day, and then just run out of luck and tangle with someone or put it in the wall?

Hamilton on the otherhand I find it easier to see him getting it right, he's done those kind of charges before and lived to make it pay off..but Monza is a fly in the ointment there! Also theres no pressure on him and Kers should make him fly.

And button he seemes to be pretty crap at the starts if surrounded with people (doesnt have the killer reflexes and usually goes backwards/looses nose)

then theres trulli, we in for another trulli train!

  • Registered Users Posts: 386 ✭✭Irishshin

Luizzi has a gearbox change so is now down at the back of the grid

Which means Button has Vettel and two light KERS McClarens behind him.
He is gonna have to watch all around him at the start!

This race it gonna be excellent!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,316 ✭✭✭✭amacachi

IF Trulli could keep Kimi behind him he could be a dark horse for this one.

Not expecting Jenson to finish the first lap tbh.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,316 ✭✭✭✭amacachi

Wonder if Barrichello can break his curse.

    Cant.Bloody.Wait.

better that its a dry start and having the rain arrive mid race :D

will be interesting to see how different teams set up their cars yesterday and if it will allow for overtaking

looks like its set up to be a interesting race, hope rubens can do it... all down to the last race then !!

Kimi on the Supersofts. Thought that would be a bad plan on a green track.

Brawn looks like someone ate a glowstick then puked on it.

Button 9th. Not good for Rubens. Kobayashi 7th, fair play. :)

Great driving from Button since the restart. Aggressive enough for everyone?

Not sure. With the pace he's showing I should certainly hope he's completely brimmed up.

Looks like Kobayashi's been taking tips from Trulli. :pac:
