Unauthorized Xbox 360 Storage Devices

Major Nelson has posted that xbox will be changing the new update to include changes that stop all unofficial memory devices working.... http://www.majornelson.com/archive/2009/10/16/unauthorized-xbox-360-storage-devices.aspx

The price of there memory is still stupidly expensive.... And is probably going to make a lot of xbox fans really pissed off :rolleyes:

I'm hoping their just going after the 3rd party memory cards from Datel. I'm gonna cry if my special 120gb drive goes belly up! I'll have to hold off on the update so I can get my data off it if all goes bad!

i use the x box as a media player with my hard drive. Will this mean i wont be able to watch any of my stuff on it now

360 or Original? Only modded drives and unofficial memory cards for the 360 may be affected!

if you mean that you plug your external hard drive into the xbox via the USB then you should be ok....this refers to people using unofficial hard drives or memory cards in the xbox

Wasn't it confirmed that they are going after those datel 2gb memory cards?
