Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just wondered if any Satellite Equipment shop offers discounts to Boards.ie users.

Looking to buy some cable, and hoping for a bargain!!!

Incidentally any recommendations for a decent cable. Bought some crap Aluminium shielded stuff before, hopeless in anything but still, summer days.

    Cheers.

TX100 is excellent quality copper on copper cable . B and q used to have PH100 which is also copper on copper but not sure if they still stock it. You can also download an appeoved CAI list here http://www.cai.org.uk/information/downloads?task=view.download&cid=2

I would second the TX100, you can get cheaper cable which IMO you get what you pay for .

I am doing a re-wire in the morning because of cheap cable installed in a lads house,

The cable that runs into his bedroom comes up over his roof and is chased into solid concrete walls, turns out the signal failed during the cold snowy weather .

Poor bloke went to bother of getting a really neat job done with the walls chased and everything and then the electrician put in a cheap co-ax cable with a plastic core and dipped copper line which failed him with in two years !

Hopeless for what? What makes you think the cable was causing weather-related problems?

I third the TX100, great cable. Also worthy of mention is Webro WF100.
