In fairness lads nothing to do with Galway whatsoever , the fact was whilst almost everyone was up at the IPO I ( sad b******d that I am ) was working in the club and I was watching the updates on Dave Callaghan , Reesy , John O 'Shea and Eoghan on poker news and in they were all running well in fact would you belive with 100 players left they stuck John , Dave , Rory and Nigel Murphy all on the same table ( 4 out of the 5 Irish left at the time )

Down to 15 now and Eoghan still averaged stacked

Great to see such a good showing from them all, we have some very talented young players. Hope Eoghan makes to the final TV table of 6 at the very least. That Benny Spindler is there again.

unlike other WPT's, this final table will be nine-handed instead of six-handed.

Someone Is Watching Over Benny Spindler...
Spindler raised to 55,000 preflop from UTG and Eoghan O'Dea repopped to 150,000 from middle position.

Spindler counted his stack before moving all-in for 468,000 total. O'Dea called.

    Spindler: AQ
    O'Dea: AK

As the dealer put out a K10J flop, a loud murmur from the crowd erupted. Spindler had flopped the nuts. O'Dea needed a Queen to split but found no help on the turn or river.

Spindler has 1 million while O'Dea is knocked down to 650,000.

    O'Dea's Sneak Attack
Benny Spindler started the action with an early-position raise to 52,000, and Eoghan O'Dea made the smooth call in the cutoff seat. From the small blind, Hichem Ben Halima announced a re-raise, and he chose 252,000.

Spindler looked to be mulling over a tough decision, and he asked for an estimate of his two opponents' remaining stack sizes. Eventually, he elected to release his hand, while O'Dea made one more raise -- all in for a total of 648,000. Ben Halima made the call with a similar stack, putting a monster pot up for grabs.

    Showdown
    O'Dea: Ks Kh
    Ben Halima: Ah Kd

With the spectators pressing in around the rail, the dealer ran out the board: 10c 4s 7d 4c Qs. The kings hold for O'Dea, and he has earned himself a big double up. That moves him to 1,408,000, and it cripples Ben Halima all the way down around 100,000.

    It's a Great O'Dea

From the button, Benny Spindler brought it in with his standard raise to 70,000. He found action from the big blind where Eoghan O'Dea matched the bet to see a flop.

It came {3-Clubs} {8-Spades} {10-Hearts}, and O'Dea checked. Spindler continued out with a bet of 85,000, and his opponent came right along with the call.

Fourth street brought the {5-Hearts} and another check from O'Dea. Spindler loaded another bullet and fired 170,000 at the pot. After a long pause to consider, O'dea called once more.

The {7-Diamonds} completed the board, and O'Dea decided to lead out into the aggressor with a bet of 280,000. His move sent Spindler deep into the tank for several minutes as he shot sideways glances across the table. After a while, Spindler put in the call.

O'Dea tabled {J-Clubs} {9-Hearts} for the nuts. There was nothing Spindler could show to beat that, and he was visibly frustrated as he flung his cards into the muck. As O'Dea pulled in that big pot, Spindler glared at him through his long bangs, shaking his head and clearly steaming.

That straight pushes O'Dea up to a very healthy 2,060,000, crippling Spindler all the way down to just 290,000 as the dinner break approaches.

Good luck Eoghan. He's already guaranteed a six figure cash. It looks like they'll be down to three soon.

    Have to win your races;

On the button and the short stack, Julien Arneodo shoved in for 430,000. Small blind Eoghan O'Dea quickly made the call as Lacay ducked out from the small blind. Arneodo tabled {A-Hearts} {J-Diamonds}, and he was racing for his tournament life against the baby pair, {4-Clubs} {4-Hearts}.

One card at time, the dramatic dealer ran out a flop of {K-Clubs}... {7-Diamonds}... {J-Diamonds}.

Half of the room erupted with, "Jack! Jack!" as their man had taken a big lead and was looking good to double up. The other half of the room was yelling for a four, but their cries would not be answered. The turn and river were blanks for O'Dea, and he's sent a double up over to Arneodo.

    Arneodo - 1,020,000
    O'Dea - 2,600,000
