    has he played a hand where he hasn't had the nuts? in great shape now!

    Dea Dream Believer?

    O'Dea raised to 160,000 from the button. Savary reraised to 330,000 from the big blind.

    O'Dea thought for 30 seconds and then called.

    Flop: {7-Spades} {5-?} {3-Hearts}

    "All-in," said Savary.

    "Call," said O'Dea.

    Savary: {A-Clubs} {K-Hearts} slightly in trouble because...

    O'Dea: {6-Hearts} {4-Hearts} for the flopped nuts.

    The {A-Hearts} turn signalled the Irishman's double up. The {9-Spades} river meaning nothing. O'Dea and Savary both have about 3.1 million, Lacay with about 1.9 million.

    twice now the blog has referred to Julien Arneodo as being the other player in the heads up with Christophe Savary

    wtf ???

    Christophe Savary made it 160,000 from the button and Eoghan O'Dea reraised to 420,000 from the big blind. Savary made the call and the two saw a flop of 9s.gifda.gif6d.gif.

    O'Dea led out for 400,000 and Savary reraised all-in. O'Dea thought for a minute and called, was this it?

    O'Dea: ac.gif3c.gif
    Savary: 8c.gif7c.gif

    The turn was the 10c.gif making the nut straight for Savary leaving O'Dea drawing dead, the qc.gif river was little more than an afterthought. Irishman O'Dea goes home in second place with €262,446 to comfort him after he falls just short of taking the title as well.
