I have seen many ads for mobile car mechanics in dublin area. Just wondering if Galway has some of them here so one can avoid paying high shop prices....

hi. My car is Toyota Corolla 1.3l Saloon 1998 model. I need the front shock absorbers replaced and need to get the timing belt done. Also the full service of the car.... Would you know anyone in Galway area who can offer best rates.

OP - Galway City or County ?

There's a good garage in Athenry who do a lot of Toyota work - Athenry Motor Centre (Ray) 091 844286 (cheaper than city rates)

And there is a mobile service in Galway too - I'll revert with the number asap.

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

I don't think you can get a mechanic to come out for a timing belt job, it takes to long to be outside for it. Could be wrong though.

    Hi op
The notion of a mobile mechanic being cheaper to pay is understandable with low overheads etc. but with jobs such as timing belts, clutch replacements, front shocks etc. A well equipped garage is a better and safer option.
There are plenty of good independant garages around galway.
Try the services section in galwaymotoring.ie for someone near you.
