    hey!

im going to oz in february and plan on travelling up the coast from sydney to cairns. i have read that in jan/feb its the rainy season in cairns and i wondered how bad it actually gets? is it just heavy showers and then clearing up with sun coming out again, or is it non stop rain and cloud for the whole time?? as im going to be travelling from sydney to cairns should i expect the weather to get worse the further i go up or is the rainy season confined to cairns?

it wont be raining all the time, but there will be some days when its just raining non stop

it will also still be pretty hot

this site gives averages for average temp by month and how many cloudy, rainy days etc

    http://www.cairns-australia.com/cairns-weather.html

and in feb sydney will be getting up to the 40's

and as far as the raining season, it's like that for pretty much all of tropical queensland, so the further north you go, yes the worse it is
