the umbrella body responsible for all those disgusting hare coursing events around the country in which hares are used as live bait in cruel bloodsport sessions is..wait for it...facing a possible financial wipe-out in a court case involving a property developer.

For decades animal protection groups have campaigned for a ban on live hare coursing on welfare grounds..but now the organisation that arranges and promotes all those hare-baiting publc exhibitions of cruelty to animals has got itself into a potentially self-destructive legal dispute which will, very likely, result in the total destruction of Ireland's Fianna Fail backed national hare baiting network.

Keep a look-out on the website Courts.ie for the upcoming case of Greenband Investments versus you know who...

If hares could attend Supreme Court hearings they'd be there for this one...if the coursing side loses, hare coursing clubs nationwide will be wiped out financially.

A cause for celebration, I think?:D
