Hi, hope this is the right forum...Have a query on behalf of a friend..

I'm looking for some info on nursing homes subvention..I know the Fair Deal thing kicks in on October 27th, but I'm not sure how it would apply for someone who is in a religious order..they would have no money as such and are anxious to be cared for in nursing home and not in the order they are part of. I think it is due to their level of care.

If the max is 300 per week that the gov will pay, how do they come up with the rest?

    Thanks in advance

I'm not sure how it is now, but 3 years ago it was a case of, someone (family) having to make up the difference.
