Wars not everybody know...?

Hi. Sorry if the title is a bit misleading. I'm doing a project and am looking for wars or battles that not everybody are aware of. Such wars people know are WW1 and WW2, Korean War etc. If anybody has links of information could they please post them here and the name,when,where and what countries were involved.

The winter war between finland and russia while technically part of world war 2 is absolutly fascinating and not very well known!

Real David v Goliath stuff, ended in something of a stalemate. While finland did submit to many concessions its commonly recognised that the moral victory was theirs.

Extremely high prisinor to casualty ratio indicates just how brutal the fighting was.

I think the wiki list of wars covers just about the every shooting match,but here's a few ideas. South African Border Wars,very rarely spoken of. Quite a few wars waged against Israel in it's short history and again very rarely spoken of. If you want to reach back in time the Opium Wars might be of interest. Hope that helps.

The Nordic Biker War was the motorbike gang war that began in 1994 and continued until 1997 in many parts of Scandinavia mainly involving the Hells Angels MC and Bandidos MC but also involving support clubs including Outlaws MC. 11 murders and 74 attempted murders had been committed and 96 people were wounded. Everything from knives to assault rifles and even anti tank launchers were used.

The war ended in front of live Danish TV news when "Big" Jim Tinndahn, the president of all of the Bandidos' European chapters, shook hands with Hells Angels Europe president Bent "Blondie" Nielsen.

I think it was more of a catch all name for years of Anglo Spanish fighting than a specific war as such.

Britain, Spain and France never overlooked an opportunity to fight each other.
