Lyon have defensive problems to contend with for the trip to Merseyside.

The French side are missing injured trio Cleber Anderson, Mathieu Bodmer and Jean-Alain Boumsong.

I would have thought that Boumsong playing would have been a defensive problem for Lyon

That Kelly lad is hardly Irish is he? Heard him mentioned on here a good bit pre-season, but I presume I'd have heard of him or he'd have been capped already if he was eligible for our crowd.

Kelly is a regular for the England under 21 side, there's obviously a bit of irish in there somewhere though.

if you've ever watched him on MOTD2, he's usually very articulate and one of the better former player-turned-pundits.

Absolutely, he speaks more sense and is more measured and articulate than most of the pundits you see on TV.
