Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Lyon have defensive problems to contend with for the trip to Merseyside.

The French side are missing injured trio Cleber Anderson, Mathieu Bodmer and Jean-Alain Boumsong.

I would have thought that Boumsong playing would have been a defensive problem for Lyon :D

He's not in the match day squad

no one really knows that except Rafa. Those lists you see on BBC etc are usually good guesses at best and makey-uppies at worst.

Cool. Bit of a disaster if Johnston is injured - especially with Sunday in mind. Finger's crossed

Liverpool: Reina, Kelly, Insua, Agger, Carragher, Mascherano, Lucas, Gerrard, Kuyt, Benayoun, Ngog. Subs: Cavalieri, Voronin, Aurelio, Babel, Skrtel, Spearing, Plessis.

    FU MIKE!

    Reina
    Kelly Agger Carra Insua
    Kuyt Masch Lucas Benayoun
    Gerrard N'gog

Team has decent shape to me and I'm happy to see Kelly get the chance, he's a very promising player.

I think its a good call tbh. If Riera is out they need Kuyt wide.

Happy enough with that team considering the squad at the moment..

I really hope N'gog and Kelly have great games... especially N'gog

Liverpool to get a penalty within 10 mins tonight, to set them off for a win!

If karma has anything to do with it, the penalty should be won by Ngog falling over a beach ball

That Kelly lad is hardly Irish is he? Heard him mentioned on here a good bit pre-season, but I presume I'd have heard of him or he'd have been capped already if he was eligible for our crowd.

TV3 should be banned from ever covering soccer.

Kelly is a regular for the England under 21 side, there's obviously a bit of irish in there somewhere though.

if you've ever watched him on MOTD2, he's usually very articulate and one of the better former player-turned-pundits.

    i like him anyway

Absolutely, he speaks more sense and is more measured and articulate than most of the pundits you see on TV.

was a poor miss imo - Was straight at the keeper, would have been amazing if Reina had managed to let it in, in the end.

Ngog looking strong... Kyut not playing great but wouldn't be shocked if he sticks one in that counts...

    Liverpool are really struggling here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,184 ✭✭✭✭Pighead

Jaysus, Kuyt may bring a lot of things to the table but passing isn't one of them. Awful touch there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,308 ✭✭✭Pyjamarama

Ngog needs to stay a bit further forward no need for him to be in our half.
