Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

External HD inaccessible - please help

So I bought a new external HD earlier today and loaded it up with some media files. When I tried to access it again I get the following error:
    E:\

    Access is denied

I just cold booted the computer and that didn't work.

I tried to format the disk but I got an error saying that a file was in use by another program. I guess there is some process using one of the files on the HD and that's why it's inaccessible but the only other thing I have running is firefox. Is there any way I can find out the program in question so I can shut it down?

I just tried the format again and it let me this time. So I'm formatting the HD at the moment but it seems to be taking an extremely long time.

    Any ideas?
