Sorry, but your poll in the other thread doesn't prove anything in this one. :)

    Simple rebuttal:
Prost and Senna won 14 out of 15 races with a McLaren one year. The only reason they didn't win all 15 was that Senna (in an example of being driven to bad driving by Prost) ran out of fuel.

Does anyone think they weren't deserving champions as a result? Not at all.

McLaren won 15 of 16 except for the Italian where Schlesser collided with Senna.

But the point is well made. No one subtracts one WDC from Senna for 1988 and no one subtracts one WDC from Prost for 1993 and saying how they didn't deserve it.

Ah. Was it Prost who was running out of fuel then? I seem to remember when it was on the BBC replay Prost knew he couldn't finish ahead of Senna and pushed him into driving too fast to use up his fuel. Maybe he crashed before he could run out. :)

Senna crashed right at the end with 2-3 laps to go. Prost went out with a car problem.
