    The response from the mod in this thread was dismissive and unnecessary.

    This isn't me looking to have a pop over a questionable banning but I don't really see the need for such an attitude from a mod. He could have at least explained the reason for such a dismissive attitude.

    What banning? Was someone on that thread banned?

    It looks to me like he is asking a question, not giving a dismissive attitude. The user seems to have answered why the incident had personal connections by their subsequent post and this also answered the question as to why he needed 'help'.
