Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can you imagine putting some of these poor unfortunate Swiss police on the M50 for hte day? More than a few fuses would blow.

Man breaks 15 laws in 11 minutes

A driver has confounded Swiss police by committing 15 traffic violations in just over 10 minutes, officials say.

The 47-year-old initially raced past an unmarked police car in heavy rain at 160 km/h (100mph) before weaving close to other cars and the road's kerb.

The serial offender clocked up further offences for speeding, driving on the hard shoulder, running a set of red lights and failing to stop for police.

When finally pulled over by St Gallen police, he failed a drugs test.

The unnamed driver, who lives near Zurich, faces a lengthy driving ban and a possible jail sentence when he appears before a Swiss court.

"I can't remember a case this serious," a police spokeswoman told the BBC of Sunday's infringement spree. "It's remarkable."

in Ireland, 200 euro and a wee break from driving (and thats with a no insurance charge rolled into it!!)

theres plenty more cases similar to that if you search.

I've tried to highlight the number of laws yer man broke.
    Twenty-year-old convicted of dangerous driving

A 20-year-old Cavan man who was convicted of dangerous driving at Virginia District Court was fined €200 and disqualified from driving for one-year from March 17.

Damien Tweedy, Duffcastle, Crosserlough, also had an offence of having no insurance on his vehicle at Kilmore, Ballyjamesduff, on June 7 taken into account but was given a concurrent one-year disqualification from March 17.

Superintendent N. Cunningham said Gardai Gorman and Kearney were operating a speed check point on the N3 when they noticed a car approach them from the Cavan direction with a defective front number plate. They signalled the car to stop but it turned right for Ballyjamesduff. The Gardai followed him and activated the siren and blue flashing light.
However, the car took off at speed towards Ballyjamesduff reaching speeds of 160km. The car went over a number of bumps and all four wheels of the car left the road. It met an oncoming car and passed it at speed.
As the car entered Ballyjamesduff it entered a 60km zone but it continued at speed and overtook a van at a T-junction.
The van was indicating to turn right. The car was doing 160km as it passed the church and school in Ballyjamesduff .
A check point was set-up in Main Street, Ballyjamesduff, and the car was eventually stopped. When Garda Gorman approached the driver he discovered a 17-year-old girl in the car.
Judge Sean MacBride said: 'it is a very bad case of dangerous driving and it is about time the defendant stopped this nonsense.' He could have killed the girl as well as other people on the road.
'This is a wake up call for you', the Judge added.
