The Hells Angels were set up as a breakaway from the Chosen Few who were a part of the Alliance set up about 10 Years ago to try and keep international patch clubs out of the country. The Chosen Few had up until recent links to both the Alliance and HAMC on their website but now only has links to its own chapters and the Alliance.

There is now eight MC clubs in the country, Outlaws, HAMC, Brotherhood, Chosen Few, Disciples, Vikings, Wheelers, and the Reapers in Limerick.

Thats interesting about the homegrown "alliance" clubs trying to keep the international patch syndicates out of Ireland.Do they want to keep out the more criminal elements from the Irish biker scene!I notice that they are still proud to be 1% outlaw clubs themselves.Does this mean they are involved in criminality themselves!.I would never have guessed that there was so many biker MCs in Ireland.I have hardly ever seen any bikers in Ireland.

Hells Angels do not in general have a charter in the Republic anymore - we have Alliance MC Ireland to thank for that ...... :-)
HA never expanded beyond Co Antrim at that so never made it into the Republic. How long will that last?

AWA also infiltrated through the 6 counties starting off at Tyrone, then Limerick being the first Chapter in the Republic.

All it takes to set up a new chapter is a breakaway group from an existing MC club and willing prospects from surrounding MCC clubs. This has happened twice so far with the Alliance (Road Tramps /AWA and Chosen Few / HA.).

Yeah remember the giant guy. Think he got a serious beating at a bike festival in kilmeaden I was at years ago. I believe he sat on an English Hells Angels guys bike....not a wise move.

We used to have a few bike gangs in the border areas back in the 80's. The Border Lords, The Tribesmen etc all of them a bunch of idiots who'd watched Easy rider too many times

Just seen the Border Lords are still around....only an MCC though

There was an english Hells Angel in fibbers with his bird a while back,he was standing in the way of the serving area while waiting on his drink and the hungarian hotshot bouncer told him to move..he told the guy to go fcuck himself and the bouncer backed down in front of everybody..the tension in the place was palapable afterwards.

Seen some biker dudes getting a right doing outside Barnstormers in Pearse Street many many years back. Allegedly they decided to pick on the wrong docker who was in for an early pint one morning and about twenty mins later his shift all arrived up and set about them.
