    Hi,

I am moving to Australia shortly (Melbourne). I own my own apartment here in Dublin which I have lived in for over 3 years now.

If I move, is there any danger to any of the following in relation to my home:

    - can the revenue start to treat this property (i.e. no longer primary residence and now investment property)?
    - will I get stuck with the new property tax?

Can anyone who has recently emigrated and who owned there own home advise as to next steps that I might need to take with respect to revenue/property management from abroad?

I will be speaking to an accountant shortly etc but any advice would be v welcome to get me started.

    Cheers,
    D.S.
