    Hey all,

I was going to do the GAMSATs last year but I decided to finish my masters before concentrating on all that. So i'm back to square 1 and hopefully I will sit the GAMSATs March 2010.

I have some questions that i'm hoping anyone doing graduate entry can help with.
    • First of all what's the course like in UCC? Is there a link for information on it because I can't seem to find it ??
    • How are people who are doing the grad entry course getting on with it?
    • If everything goes well I will be 27 entering the course. Is that a late stage to be starting? How will it affect my choices when I finish the 4 years?
    • How does specialising in your chosen discipline after the 4 years work?
    • If I want to be a GP how do I go about that?

    Thanks everyone :)

i can answer the last 3 points

    1) 27 is pretty young, most americans become proper doctors after they r like 35 (i.e, complete residency + fellowship etc)

    2) you dont specialise when your in med school you do it through work experience, MRCP/FRCA/etc, fellowships, masters courses etc etc (post grad stuff)
