Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi Guys

I am just wondering how much on average do you spend on clothes a month?

I was just looking at my bank statement this morning and I realised that the majority of last months salary has gone on shopping trips for "essentials".

Not a whole lot but still probably as much as I spend on food, but it''s not how much you spend but how well you spend it.

I never give anything away, so only underwear is essential, everything else I have. I only spend to upgrade etc.

Really disagree with throw away fashion.

It's feast or (relative) famine with me. I go to America each year and buy lots over there (perhaps 1k or 2k?). This month I spent about 120. Last month probably 150. I'm trying to save right now for my trip to NYC in Jan so I'm not buying much. I generally buy mid price range things (River Island, Topshop, etc) but spend a lot on certain things which will last a number of years - e.g. Juicy coat, Gucci handbag and purse, Louis Vuitton make up bag, D&G glasses, etc.

I also spend a lot on make up, tan and toiletries and would buy high end products mainly so I'd say maybe e200 in total a month.

I don't know really. Depends how much money I have. This month I spent an awful lot on clothes, about €350. Which is ridiculous for me. Usually it's around €30/€40 a month.

I used to spend a lot, until realised that half of my stuff was trendy but made me look hideous and another half was barely ever worn because I forgot that I had it :)
Learnt my lesson, now spend wise, know what types of clothes work for my style, my wardrobe is tidy and I actually feel lighter and more satisfied.
    Try for yourself,

Like you Pythia I'm planning to go to NY next year - St Patricks day. I was over the same time this year and I did get lots & lots of bits and pieces - Guess Jeans, Abercrombie, Hilfigure etc, plus I was introduced to Benefits while there so I also stocked up on makeup.

I was all set to order myself a pair of Bailey Button Uggs this weekend, but when I checked my bank bal yesterday I was horrified. Going to have to hold off the Uggs just yet. I noticied that I used my laser 3 times in Pennies in the month of Oct, each time spend near €150, on items such as tops, cardies, pumps, dresses etc and to be honest I cant see these items lasting in my wardrobe 2long, in the long run I'm prob better off spending the extra on items like the above, for better quality alone and getting longer wear out of them.

I would probably spend about 300 a month on clothes maybe. Coming into winter I would spend a bit more as my whole wardrobe would need a makeover.

I tend to throw things out a lot and then regret it:pac:
I work in a clothes shop so its really hard not to buy clothes all the time.
But like previous posters am going to ny after Christmas so trying to save for that and hope to get a lot of stuff.
