Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Really like the colours on this one, has a really retro feel. Also the DoF is outstanding (if you'll pardon the pun)!

This just jumps out from the selection, the moment captured is fantastic, the framing leaves you wondering, great capture and very nice work.

    I picked this one:

I spent a few weeks working in Casablanca and for this reason it captures everything about Morocco. Love the colours :)

    As they are so prevalent I can't help but pick one of the young ladies;

    3720435069_39fa95c24d.jpg

I like the element of surprise which you've captured along with the innocence of the subject. The tyre offers good framing and the crop is quite appropriate. A memorable occasion obviously.

    What's not to love eh?

I had a great time looking through your photostream Gandalf but the one shot that really stood out for me was this one.
I'm loving the shadows and the pattern of shadows > light > shadows > light where your eye is drawn right through the photo.

I'm not a lover of pictures of pets (even though I've loads of my own) but this one jumps out at you. It's just so cool. I've never seen a dog so laid back as if he owned the whole world. His colouring stands out from the black sofa and the wide angle puts him in your face.

I'm very fond of this shot. For a lot of P'a'B's pics there's a gentle natural humour running through them. There's subtle and simple naivety that cuts through this street shot (whether it's in the two people in the background or the guys glance or the woman's vulnerability or all three). This shows how something that catches the eye is often worth taking.

It’s my cousins dog (Red) from Boston and he is so laid back. One morning a dog from the apartment downstairs was up hanging out. She was a lively little thing jumping around the place, always looking for attention. Anyway i was working on some pictures and looked up to see what was going on, the neighbors dog is close to doing backflips and i look over at Red. He was sitting on the same seat. He looks at me and nearly rolls this eyes and deeply exhales and then rests this head on the sofa.

It's hard to select one from so many, I wavered between this and a photostitched Olympus trip that is your trademark. I love the composition in this, That is the strength, great B&W but fantastic imagination to see the shot.

My apologies the image is so small, all sizes is off in the photostream so it's linked to below.

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/13111789@N00/3986382395/

I really really like this photo, I remember being struck by it when it was posted in the Random thread. I'm not sure what it is that I like about it so much. B&W really suits it as you are completely focused on their faces and not distracted by anything else.
The look of concentration on the womans face and her grasping the arm of her partner really makes you feel that they were listening to/watching something momentus and it makes you wonder what it was.

That's just a bad explanation of why I like it. In reality it's hard to explain, there's alot going on in the photo and it's just a great image.

I like the effect of this tilt shift image of Prague. It makes it look like a model village and the out of focus figure in the foreground even looks like a toy person. I could picture a model train passing by.

this image is ok, it could be brilliant , a little PP as it is flat and grey and lacking in contrast, why am I criticising it if I picked it for hear you ask...?
Simple ..it shows a good eye, for action, for humans, a crop would improve the composition in my opinon but it still is something that speaks to me as one who grew up in wild west Cork ... and knows this.. so I suppose it is personal. ( you might pop it on a thread if you can face the lions and ask them to see what PP they can do to it... I have seen that here before and it helped people.. I am wrong guy to ask as I am digitally clueless.. to paraphase the old Queen song " you say lightroom ..I say darkroom"

Not sure if this thread has run its course but it was good while it lasted. Some gems revealed in the process and hopefully everyone who took part has learned a little about how others perceive their works. I did say I wouldn't let anyone be last ie. without a comment on their own, so here one from Anthony's flickr and i'm ok with being last - i got plenty of feedback earlier on the thread.

I like this photo alot. As someone who has done alot of travelling alone in airports, it really captures the loneliness of it all. Sometimes the only comfort you have when arriving in a new airport in a foreign country is the standard yellow signage.

I love the shadows and angle.

Here's a little gem of a pic. I thought that no drama stuff was all about acting but if you look at the photostream, I think you'd be mistaken to think that it was all about having fun at outings. Hence I like this image taken at an outing / picnic of some sort.

Trawling through AnCatDubh's photostream I found that his plant/flower photos were the subject I was drawn to the most. I really like the depth of field on the image above. That combined with the strong green and red colours give a very lush look to the photo, almost as if it were a painting.
