Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The Queen Mary 2 passing Roches’s Point after making her maiden call to Cobh, Co.Cork.

Commodore Bernard Warner, the Master of the Queen Mary 2 guided the huge luxury liner towards Cork Harbour in the late morning and the Queen Mary 2 berthed at the Cobh Cruise Liner Terminal at lunchtime. She sailed again at 6 pm that evening.

Cunard Line President, Peter Shanks who traveled on the voyage and an official from the Port of Cork, laid a wreath at the Lusitania Peace Memorial in Cobh Town Centre in memory of those who died when the Cunard liner was torpedoed off the Old Head of Kinsale in 1915.

More pictures of the liner can be seen in The Gallery.

Very nice set John, I'd thought about heading to the same spot - hindsight is a wonderful thing!

Yeah, I also thought about heading over to Roches Point but couldn't make it. As always, ideas are worthless... you've actually got to get out there to achieve anything

I even got a comment from an officer on the bridge who noticed us on the rocks taking pics of the ship as she passed. Can be seen here.
