Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

(XP) Black Screen & Keyboard not working

    My brothers got a weird issue at the moment, when he turns on the pc it gets to the windows logo then the screen goes black with just the mouse cursor visible and movable; at this point the keyboard wont respond so he cant actually do anything.

    When he trys to boot into safe mode he gets the same thing with the mouse just the black background has “safe mode” in all corners but nothing else and still no keyboard.

    And even worse, when he trys to boot from the windows CD he gets to the first screen where it says press one key to install, one to repair etc and again his keyboard doesn’t work so he cant choose any options.

    The keyboard does however work before any of the windows stuff loads, ie he can get into the bios etc so its only under windows control that the keyboard is unresponsive.

    Anyone got any ideas? This had happened two weeks ago and we just formatted the drive from another machine then reinstalled from scratch but its after happening again today.
